For The Women of South Dakota
I am sorry for the girls
of the Black Hills of Dakota
where a woman's right to choose
has been eliminated
where even if you're raped or
a victim of child abuse
you must stay pregnant
it's all your fault
I salute the fly-in doctors
of the Black Hills of Dakota
who risk a career and life
by offering all women choice
I deplore the government
of the Black Hills of Dakota
who take the US backwards
to Roe v Wade decisions
by law ignore and care not for
the danger of a woman's life
Please, progressive women, rally
against this law on International Women's Day
Let your voice be heard, for we are strong,
sisters united, determined to have our say.
