A Sonnet For My Botox Baby
Jana, dear, you are my Botox baby.
I love the way your skin stays smooth. No lines
of laughter or sorrow that one can see
in your shining unpuckered skin so fine.
You never frown nor raise your voice to me,
and when I seek your help you always come.
My mood you raise and I am filled with glee
giving and taking in our shared freedom.
When dawn light slants into my bedroom I
look at your glistening face and must smile.
Last night our lovemaking caused me to cry.
I wanted our breakup to be in style.
And this morning after all that's happened
Jana, you show no emotion. The end.
